My Goal: Life Long Skills
Founded in Three Pillars
“Montessori is an education for independence, preparing not just for school, but for life.”
— Maria Montessori
Children are able to self construct their knowledge. They are given the time and space to repeat lessons and are supported with one on one tutoring through new concepts and challenges.
Concepts are taught through hands on and concrete materials. Children are able to use their senses to internalize new concepts. They are able to experiment with new ideas and develop a true understanding rather than depend on memorization.
The environment encourages the development of prosocial behavior. Children learn to function as part of a community. Mixed ages expose children to different abilities, temperaments, and interests. The classroom is referred to as the Children’s House, where children care for the environment, prepare meals, and learn communally.
